Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will skip his senior season and enter the NFL Draft. Bridgewater won 27 games in his three years as the starting QB, including 12 wins this past season, which tied a school record.
He had 39 career games for the Cardinal and threw for almost 4,000 yards. He managed to develop into one of the best and most effective quarterbacks in the nation. He was also chosen as a second team All-American Athletic player this season.
Bridgewater is ranked 2nd overall in the Draft projections. He comes in at 6’3” and weighs 205 pounds. Mock drafts predict him going to the Jacksonville Jaguars or the Texans.
When he arrived at Louisville, he was the No. 2-rated quarterback prospect in the nation by Rivals.com. He played high school in Miami and set the Dade County record with seven touchdown passes in a single game. He was second team All-State 6-A and played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Bridgewater’s critics point out that he’s not as big or strong as Andrew Luck and he’s not as healthy and agile as RGIII. But, among the QBs in the draft this year, he seems to be the most refined and accurate.
