74 17.4 10.2 3.2 .543 .644 19.84

With the departure of Joe Johnson and Josh Smith over the past couple seasons, Horford has emerged as the leader for the Hawks. The 27-year old is a very complete player and may be one of the most overlooked guys in the league.
Fact: Horford was one of four players to average at least 17 points and 10 rebounds per game last season, along with David Lee, Dwight Howard and Kevin Love.

#19 Marc Gasol
Memphis Grizzles|C| Age: 28
2012-13 Stats
GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT% PER
80 14.1 7.8 4.0 .494 .848 19.57

Gasol has elevated himself to one of the best low post defenders in the league, if not the best. This season the Grizzles would like to see more late game scoring from Gasol to help close out teams.
Fact: The Grizzlies were 10.9 points per 100 possessions better with Gasol on the court last season than they were with Gasol off the court. With Gasol on the floor, they scored 4.1 more points and allowed 6.8 fewer points per 100 possessions.

#18 Tim Duncan
San Antonio Spurs|PF| Age: 37
2012-13 Stats
GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT% PER
69 17.8 9.9 2.7 .502 .817 24.45

Duncan turned back the hands of time last season while leading the Spurs to the NBA Finals and was only seconds away from his fifth championship. The gut wrenching loss to the Miami Heat will be motivation for the legend.
Fact: Duncan averaged 17.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game in his 16th NBA season. Moses Malone (18.9 points per game, 10.0 rebounds per game) in 1989-90 is the only other player to do so.

#17 Stephen Curry
Golden State Warriors|PG| Age: 25
2012-13 Stats
GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT% PER
78 22.9 4.0 6.9 .451 .900 21.34

Curry’s sharp shooting made him one of the most talked about NBA players last season. With the Warriors losing Jarrett Jack to the Cleveland Cavaliers in free agency, look for Curry to have even more of the scoring responsibility.
Fact: Curry became the only player in NBA history to average at least seven 3-point attempts per game and shoot at least 45 percent from 3-point range.

#16 Blake Griffin
Los Angeles Clippers|PF| Age: 24
2012-13 Stats
GM PPG RPG APG FG% FT% PER
80 18.0 8.3 3.7 .538 .660 22.44

With the off-season additions of JJ Redick and Jared Dudley there will be more spacing for Griffin to score in the low post. Head coach Doc Rivers will utilize Griffins strengths along with Chris Paul getting his high flying forward the ball in the right spot.
Fact: Griffin and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are the only players in NBA history to average at least 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists per game while shooting at least 50 percent in each of their first three seasons.
